March 25, 2020 COVID-19 Update:

In compliance with the order of March 24, 2020, from VT Governor Scott, all of our volunteers are being asked to temporarily discontinue their volunteer services at the shelter and stay home effective March 25. Currently, this order is effective through April 15. While we deeply appreciate all the time and effort our volunteers give to the animals at our shelter, the health of
our communities is paramount and it is imperative that we do this to do our part to help stop the spread of this disease. Please know that we will once again welcome volunteers at the shelter as soon as health authorities and the Governor deem it permissible. If you are interested in starting to volunteer in the future, please complete the volunteer application on this website and email it to: Animals@FASV.comcastbiz.net

Thank you for your understanding during these very challenging times. Please stay in contact with us via this website and our FB page. Take care and stay well!

Effective Tuesday, March 17th the shelter will be "Closed" to the public due to growing concerns of the Coronavirus.

We continue to depend on our committed staff to help with the daily shelter needs and care of our animals. We must make every effort to keep the shelter as safe as possible and have implemented additional disinfection practices to minimize the risks to those who care for our animals on a daily basis.

Adoption or surrender appointments can be made on a case by case basis by calling (754-2228)
